Tenant Hub
Rights & Responsibilities
A clear, plain-English guide to what you can expect from us — and what we ask of you in return for a safe and well-managed home.
Your rights as a Cube Housing resident
As a resident of Cube Housing, you have clear rights that we are committed to upholding at all times. These are not just obligations — they reflect how we believe every person deserves to be treated.
📋 Your accommodation is provided under a Licence Agreement, not a tenancy.
This means you are a licensee, not a tenant. Your right to stay is linked to your engagement with the support programme. If you have questions about your Licence Agreement, speak to your support worker.
🏠
Right to Safe, Well-Maintained Accommodation
Your property must meet legal health and safety standards. We will carry out repairs within agreed timescales and carry out regular property inspections.
🔒
Right to privacy and quiet enjoyment
Staff have the right to access your accommodation at any time to carry out welfare and safeguarding checks, including unannounced visits. Where a visit is planned in advance, we will let you know. You also have the right to ask to see any staff member's ID before granting entry.
🤝
Right to be treated with dignity and respect
All residents will be treated fairly, without discrimination, and in line with our equality and diversity commitments at all times.
📋
Right to a Support Plan that reflects your needs
Your Support Plan will be created with you, not for you. You can request changes at any time, will be involved in every review, and have the right to refuse support without penalty. You will always be consulted before any changes are made to your plan.
📣
Right to complain without fear
You can raise a complaint at any time. Making a complaint will never affect the services you receive. You have the right to be supported by a person of your choice and to receive a full written response within the timescales set out in our Complaints Policy.
🔐
Right to confidentiality
Your personal information will be kept confidential and only shared with your consent, or in line with our legal safeguarding duties.
Your responsibilities
In return for a safe, supportive home, we ask all residents to respect the following responsibilities. These exist to protect everyone — including you — and to make our shared spaces work well for all.
✓
Treat all staff, other residents and visitors with respect and courtesy.
✓
Keep your room and any shared communal areas clean, tidy and free from hazards.
✓
Do not engage in anti-social behaviour, violence, harassment, or use of illegal substances on the premises.
✓
Notify us if you are going to be away for more than two nights, so we can ensure your home is safe and secure.
What Cube Housing commits to you
We will always treat you fairly, keep your home safe, respond to repairs promptly, listen to your views, respect your privacy, and support you towards a positive future. We will never discriminate, and we will always act with integrity.
